Bread and Soup Sales

Our 2024 Bread and Soup Sales will be September 26-28 and then again November 21-23. Please check back closer to those dates for details and the online order form.

Because without our volunteers we would NOT be able to pull these sales off. Thank you for all of your help throughout the years!

Our trusty Mark who does everything from make soups to baking the bread to cutting up the vegetables.

Liwi manning the fridges and doing restocking duty so Mother Gertrude can do other things and we don’t run out. Very important.

Tom and Janet have handled the order distribution part of our bread and soup sales for many, many, many years. Thank you so much for each and every sale and year. You have been truly a blessing.

Scenes of the Sisters during our sales…note that these are the ones of not running around with our heads cut off as that is what we do about 95% of the time. These are only when Sister cornered them and told them she had to take pictures… and even then as you will see they still had fun “misbehaving”.

So there is a funny story behind this picture. Right above the now Sr. Mary Faustina is the AC blowing straight on her and the soup we are trying to cool. She definitely had the best spot in the monastery.

And here is our "good and well-behaved” and very beloved abbess Mother Mary Gertrude…and yes she does approve of all of the comments this Sister makes as part of Obedience.

Example # 4? of misbehaving Sisters…I will get this one (Sr. Therese Marie if you can’t tell) during our next sale.

Example # I don’t know of our silliness—Sr. Mary Agnes with a couple of our volunteers. Sr. Mary Agnes runs the bread part of our sale but I am not waking up at 2 AM to get pictures of them actually making the bread.

OHHHH LOOOOOK A serious Sr. Mary Agnes who is not slap happy from being so tired…but I did get her on day 1 of baking so that helped

Sr. Bridget Marie who tries REALLY HARD to not get pictures of herself so she is the Sister Picture Taker and Website Manager but she acquiesced to Mother’s command to get pictures of ALL the Sisters doing their jobs…mine is managing ALL the orders that comes in, organizing them all, and doing the money side of things…and running around the day of the sale between everyone and everything
